The MuVment Studio Dance Classes

 

ACRO

Acrobatic Dance, or acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements

 

BALLET 

Ballet is a study of grace, discipline and elegance. Our ballet classes will go through a ballet barre warm up, center, adagio, allegro, and reverence.

HIP HOP 

 Hip hop started as street dancing and is popular in music videos. classes include a wide range of styles moving and grooving,  breaking, locking, and popping. Classes will encourage dancers to dance outside the box and expand one’s own personality. 

JAZZ 

Jazz dance is a fast up beat movement that is fun and energetic with fast footwork, big jumps, turns and personality. 

JUMPS AND TURNS 

Jumps and turns class is an hour of pure jumping and turning, each class athletes will train and enhance their flexibility and strengthen their technique and push their bodies to grow. 

 

LYRICAL

Lyrical dance is a fusion of all aspect of Ballet, Jazz, Modern and acrobatic well being fluid and graceful from one movement to another. At MVT we focus on athletes exploring and individuality of movement and telling their own story through the movement.

 

CONDITIONING AND STRENGTH TRAINING

Condition and core is a cardio workout that builds the athlete's body stamina and strength. Classes will be one hour and focus on stamina and flexibility as well as lots and lots of ab workouts to strengthen the athletes center strength. 

CONTEMPORARY MODERN FUSION

Contemporary Modern dance goes against all rules of Ballet and lets dancers explore movements they did not even know their body knew such as suspension and release, fall and recovery and connecting breathing with movement, modern dance is about exploring movements. 

 

Creative MuVment

Creative muvement is for ages seven and under who have a love for Dance or Cheer and want to dip their toes in. All Creative Muvement classes are 30 mins long with a maximum of 10 dancers per class, this is to help dancers get more one on one attention. Creative muvement classes teach dancers to express themselves with movement, musicality, starting to follow directions in a class format. It's a great way for little girls and boys to get their energy out and learn dance steps. 

MUSICAL THEATRE 

Musical Theatre is a fun way to learn basics for theatre staging, lighting and other productions as well as a theatrical performance spoken dialog acting with a love of dance. 

TAP 

Tap dance is about combining beats and rhymes with focus on musicality. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankle, coordination, and speed of movement.

CONTEMPORARY MODERN FUSION

COMBO FUSION CLASSES

Combo classes are for younger athletes that are not quite ready to take a full length class but still want to learn and explore, all Combo Classes are 45 mins to 1 hour depending on class.

    TAP/BALLET 

Tap/Ballet combo class is a 45 min class for ages 2-7 and 1 hour class for ages 4-7, the first half of the class will learn ballet basics about half way through class athletes will switch into their tap shoes and learn tap basics. 

    JAZZ/TAP 

    Jazz/Tap combo class 45 min class for ages 2-7 and 1 hour class for ages 4-7, the first 

half of the class will begin in Jazz shoes and then switch into tap shoes.

    JAZZ/HIP HOP 

    Jazz/Hip Hop combo class 45 min class for ages 2-7 and 1 hour class for ages 4-7, is a 

fun jazz funk type class that is done in jazz shoes. 

    Acro/ Jazz

    Acro/Jazz combo class are all 1 hour will start off on the matts for thirty mins and 

go over basic acro and then switch over to the dance floor and jazz shoes  and 

learn a fun jazz acro fusion routine. 

    CHEER/ACRO

    Cheer/ACRO combo class are all 1 hour long, class will start off with a warm up and 

then spending about 30 mins on acro fundamentals and spend the remainder of 

class going through cheer movements and jumps.
